Marketing Your Brand At A Major Sports Event

27 June, 2011, Singapore - Chris Robb, Managing Director, Spectrum Worldwide recently spoke at the Singapore Sports Council’s Standard Chartered Marathon Singapore 2011 Partner Workshop and provided the following advice for marketers who are interested in sponsoring sports events:  “ To leverage your brand’s exposure and create an engaging, emotive, experience within the event, it’s not simply about seeing your brand… It’s about leveraging the opportunity and exploring synergy with other event partners, and to do this marketers need to:

Have a detailed leverage/activation plan:

  • Pre-event
  • Event weekend
  • Post-event
  • By having sufficient leverage/activation budget.
  • By having sufficient human resources to carry out the activation.
  • By exploring synergies with other event partners.
